Mission Statement
The mission of the Saybrook Homeowners Association is for neighbors to help neighbors continue to make Saybrook a premiere place to live by fostering a sense of community through the effective and efficient management of the Association; by maintaining and enhancing the property in our community through consistent and fair application of the covenants and bylaws; and by preserving and improving the common areas and facilities.
About Saybrook
Saybrook is a single-family development in State College, PA. It is located in Ferguson Township and consists of the following streets:
- North Foxpointe Drive,
- Longfellow Lane,
- Longfellow Court,
- Barnstable Lane,
- Northampton Street,
- Nantucket Circle,
- Vineyard Haven,
- Chatham Court,
- Cobble Court,
- Sagamore Drive, and
- Sconsett Way
Saybrook is within walking distance of the State Game Lands and the Science Park Recreation Association (SPRA) swimming pool, Greenbriar Park (complete with play set, basketball court, walking path, and picnic pavilion), is connected to the Penn State campus by a bike path which is maintained for the entire year, and is only a short drive from various other amenities. It is within the catchment area of Radio Park elementary school, Park Forest middle school, and the State College Area high school. All municipal services are available in Saybrook.
There are around 190 lots in total, ranging from a little less than a half acre to just over an acre. The final phase is currently under construction. Typical transaction prices are between $450,000 and $650,000. Builders include Bachman Homes, Bosak Construction, GEM Homebuilders, S&A Homes, and Steve Hackman Builders.
Annual association fees are $200 per lot. There is also a capital assessment of $200, which is payable upon joining the homeowners association (i.e. by buying a house in the neighborhood).
